Guided Excursion to the Pianoro di Ciolandrea: the panoramic balcony over Cilento
The Pianoro di Ciolandrea is a natural terrace overlooking four regions of Southern Italy and the starting point of a trail that descends towards the Masseta coast.
Along the route, you cross rural and natural environments where livestock farms and ancient terraced fields once used for wheat and olive trees are still visible.
The trail leads to Torre Spinosa, a structure of Norman origin linked to the presence of the ginestra spinosa, and continues towards Grotta dell’Acqua, characterized by springs that were once used by farmers and local workers. You then reach spiaggia della Molara, whose name derives from the stones used to make millstones for mills and oil presses.
