The Grotte di Pertosa - Auletta they represent one of the most extraordinary natural wonders of the Salerno area and of Cilento National Park, Vallo di Diano and Alburni . Located in the heart of Alburni Mountains , offer a fascinating journey underground through a karst complex shaped by water over millions of years. 
Unique in Italy, allow visitors to navigate the underground Negro River aboard a boat , living an evocative experience among silences , plays of light , waterfalls and majestic stalactite and stalagmite formations . The route extends for approximately three kilometers between galleries and natural rooms of extraordinary beauty.  The caves hold an important archaeological heritage : they are in fact the only ones in Europe to preserve the remains i a pile-dwelling village dating back to the 2nd millennium BC. , evidence of human presence in these environments since prehistoric times.
