Founded in 2012 to preserve the memory of Operation  Avalanche , the museum retraces one of the most complex and decisive episodes of  Second World War . The exhibition, in addition to documenting the military and political events , pays particular attention to the dimension of daily life and the perception "from below" of what was the most tragic and devastating conflict in contemporary history. Through original objects, memorabilia, weapons, uniforms and immersive setups , the museum itinerary intensely conveys the scenarios of the war and the experiences lived by both soldiers and civilian populations.
